Supply of Photoinitiators and Energy Curable Resins from China
January 29th, 2020
Update, February 14th, 2020: read new statement.
Dear Customer
With extensive global news coverage on the impact from the spread of a novel coronavirus originating in Wuhan city, Hubei Province, China it is understandable that customers of IGM have questions around the security of supply of Photoinitiators and Energy Curable Resins.
Along with most Chinese nationals our China team is currently on vacation for the annual Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) celebrations and due to return on February 1st, 2020. The Chinese government extended the official period of the holiday by 3 days until February 3rd, 2020 and imposed further province level restrictions on enterprises restarting operations.
Any impact on the restart of our own manufacturing operations, the supply of raw materials and movement of goods will be fully assessed as the team returns to work.
With regional stocks of products produced in China boosted to cover the annual Spring Festival holidays we do not foresee any immediate impact on the normal supply of our products.
Our Mortara, Italy, Photoinitiator production and Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, Energy Curing Resins production are unlikely to be affected.
We undertake to monitor the position closely and provide customers with timely updates should there be any impact to our operations and our ability to supply our customer base globally.
Yours Sincerely,
Andrew Chambers
