Technical Business Development Manager – North America

At IGM Resins, we’re on a mission to drive growth and innovation in the UV-curing industry — and we’re looking for an enthusiast Technical Business Development Manager North America to join our global NBD team and North American sales team. In this unique role, you’ll take the lead in driving specialty applications forward in the region, building the bridge between global innovation with local execution and turn your commercial skills into strategic business growth in high-potential markets such as industrial coatings, adhesives and 3D printing.
JOB TITLE
Technical Business Development Manager | North America
Function: Business Development, technical marketing
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and hunt for potential new business opportunities, new target markets and validate industry trends.
- Ability to translate technical know-how to customer driven solutions, costs in use benefits and product recommendations.
- Drive the new business pipeline in collaboration with the regional sales teams.
- Project management and leadership, translate opportunities into focused projects. Leading projects from idea to commercialization.
- Activate key decision makers at Key Accounts or deeper in the value chain to bring opportunities to fruition.
- Build effective relationships with the different IGM teams such as R&D, Regulatory, Product Management, Operations and Sales and externally with customers.
- Support new product development and commercialization.
- Attend and represent IGM at industry conventions and networking events; Stay current on industry trends and developments.
- Contribute to technical literature and other sales/marketing to enable effective promotion of entire IGM product range.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree or above in Chemistry Material Science or a Bachelor degree or above in Business management and 5+ years of experience in coatings / resins / Adhesives / Composites preferably in UV curing.
COMPETENCIES
- Proven track record of project management experience combined with a strong business acumen for delivering business growth.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Strong interpersonal, and follow-through skills and analytical approach with a focus on building relationships with customers.
- Position will require approximately 50% travel to customers and team meetings.
