About the Role
As key element of iGM’s go-to-market strategy we are accelerating growth in adjacent energy curing market segments. As Market Segment Lead you own, develop and grow selected adjacent market segments, combining deep technical expertise with hands-on commercial leadership. The Market Segment Lead will build iGM’s position in selected emerging applications by translating market insights into winning solutions and sustainable revenue and margin growth.

What is your role?
Reporting to the Vice President Transform Business, you operate with end-to-end accountability for your adjacent application segment(s) and support other Segment Leaders, working closely with R&D, Application Labs, Trading Desk, Marcom, Business Operations and external partners. You define where to play and how to win — and you personally drive execution.

Your impact:

  • Define and execute strategy for one or more application segments aligned with IGM’s priorities, own revenue, margin and pipeline targets. Create long term value for your application segment (s).
  • Act as technical authority in customer interactions: lead application discussions, trials, validations, and problem solving.
  • Drive new business development: identify, qualify and convert opportunities; manage pipeline discipline and CRM accuracy.
  • Translate customer and market insights into clear value propositions and application narratives; support technical marketing content.
  • Orchestrate internal labs, R&D and validation activities to ensure technical feasibility and commercial readiness of solutions.
  • Shape innovation and NPD priorities by identifying unmet needs and building robust business cases.
  • Identify and develop relevant external partnerships (OEMs, technology partners, labs) to accelerate access and validation.

Success in this role means measurable growth, increased technical credibility in your segments, and a robust opportunity pipeline that converts into profitable business.

Who are you?
You are a technically strong commercial leader who thrives in complex, emerging markets. You are comfortable at the lab bench, in front of senior customer stakeholders, and in strategic business discussions.

  • Master’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Business Management, or a related field
  • 10+ years’ experience in technical-commercial roles within B2B industrial or specialty materials (e.g. UV curable Surface coatings, Optical systems, Adhesives, Composites or 3D printing)
  • Proven track record of building new applications or businesses in industrial B2B environments
  • Strong experience leading customer trials, validations, and early-stage commercialization
  • Demonstrated ownership of opportunity pipelines and delivery of revenue and margin results
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally with R&D, labs, operations, and commercial teams
