Increasing focus on manufacturing and efficiencies
Charlotte, NC, USA—Jan. 23, 2014—IGM Resins, Inc. has added two senior executives to manage its growing business at the global level. Timothy J. Fagan, MBA, CPA, joined the company as Chief Financial Officer, and Michael Lotman, MBA, joined as Vice President of Operations. Both report to Chief Executive Officer Edward Frindt, and are based at IGM’s North American regional center in Charlotte, North Carolina.
“IGM Resins has evolved to a leadership position in the radcure/UV coatings industry since its founding in the late Nineties,” said Frindt. “We are enhancing our organizational infrastructure to better support our customers as we continue to grow and I could not be happier with the addition of these two quality individuals.”
Fagan came to IGM from Kadan, LLC, where he served as CFO for a variety of international family-owned and/or private equity group portfolio companies. His more than 20-year career includes CEO and managing director responsibilities and accomplishments in strategic and operational business planning; financial and operational restructuring; mergers and acquisitions; ERP systems design and implementation, and ISO 9000 quality systems. He holds an MBA degree from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Lotman is an 18-year veteran of the coatings and adhesives industry with deep experience in manufacturing, technical management and supply chain. He served several subsidiaries of the world’s fifth-largest oil and gas company, Total, in positions that included Executive Director of Operations, Director of Global Operations, Director of Coatings Manufacturing, and Plant Manager. He began his career at Sigma-Aldrich Chemical Company. He brings a history of success to IGM that includes operational excellence, international multi-plant operation; green field development; licensing and technology exchange; productivity improvement; cost reduction; business strategy development and deployment; implementation of Lean, employee engagement and commitment to environmental and safety excellence. Lotman earned an MBA degree from Marquette University, an MS degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oklahoma, and an MS degree in Chemical Engineering from Moscow State Academy of Oil and Gas in Russia.
