Charlotte, NC, USA - Feb. 2, 2015 - IGM Resins announces the appointment of Wilson Gu as Regional Vice President Asia and three internal promotions to newly created positions. Andrew Chambers was promoted to Global Vice President Photoinitiators and Pharmaceuticals, Frans de Wind to Commercial Manager EMEA and Remco Roest to Commercial Manager PharmaChem.

“All individuals will play critical roles in driving IGM forward, together with our global executive and leadership team,” said Edward Frindt, CEO of IGM Resins. “Their focus will drive the successful achievement of our growth objectives and the continuous improvement of our business and support to our customers.”

Wilson Gu joined IGM on September 1 with a strong background in managing chemical operations in Asia for General Electric, Ferro Corporation and most recently at BASF. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Fine Chemical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. In addition to managing the existing IGM businesses in Asia, Gu has responsibility for IGM’s recent acquisition of Insight High Technology (IHT).

Andrew Chambers is focused on the strategic development of IGM’s Photoinitiator and Pharmaceutical product portfolio to maximize the value offering to our customers globally. Chambers previously served as Vice President EMEA and continues to report to CEO Frindt. “I am delighted to have Andrew focus fully on our photoinitiator and pharmaceutical product lines,” said Frindt. “With his extensive industry and business experience, I am confident that he will continue to drive sustainable, profitable growth in these important businesses for IGM.”

Frans de Wind assumed responsibility for the commercial management of IGM’s EMEA business. De Wind, who served IGM Resins for 10 years as Sales Manager, took over from Andrew Chambers, and reports to John Huiberts, President. “This promotion is a result of Frans’ significant contribution to the company, his ability to think strategically and the respect he has earned within our team and with our customers and partners,” said Huiberts. “We have a very talented and committed sales team in Europe and I look forward to them continuing to excel at satisfying our customers under Frans’ leadership.”

Remco Roest was promoted to Commercial Manager PharmaChem. Roest joined IGM Resins in 2011 and has been successful in the Benelux market, as well as the PharmaChem business. Roest continues to serve the Benelux market for IGM Resins BV and is part of the EMEA sales team reporting to the new Commercial Manager, De Wind.
