Regional Compliance Specialist


For our European Business Unit, we are looking for a:

Reporting to the European Business Manager
Fulltime | Waalwijk, the Netherlands

The Compliance Specialist fulfills an active role in the European support and advice in EU law- and legislation, Quality Management System, Environment, Safety & Health with the goal of minimization of company risks and proactive contribution to the professionalization of IGM's activities and achievement of company goals.


  • Develops, monitors and maintains Environment, Safety, Health and Quality strategy and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations;
  • Responsible for monitoring and ensuring product registrations are in place and compliant with existing and emerging EU legislation;
  • Responsible for periodic reporting of new and/or changed regulations to keep the company informed of changes in legislation;
  • Provide specialized technical support in annual audits and periodic evaluations of work environments to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
  • Responsible for implementing the ESH-policy statement and the ESH-vision within IGM and responsible for ensuring compliance with ESH-related requirements;
  • Responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance and auditing of the Quality Management system and (re)certification.
  • Active Management of NCPA (non-conformity, corrective and preventive actions);
  • Provides legislation advice and support to customers, suppliers, agents and IGM colleagues;


You have a Bachelors level in Chemistry and General Science with knowledge of international regulations and legislations and Environment, Safety and Health regulations. You have at least 5 to 10 years of experience within an international organization in a similar position. You have proven experience in Managing a quality management system. You are well experienced in English.

You possess strong problem solving capabilities and you  are a reliable professional with a high accuracy level. You have an independent and pro-active approach and are able to set priorities.
