Wood coatings

A wide variety of wood applications are being finished with a UV topcoat, sealer or filler such as parquet flooring, prefinishing flooring, furniture, doors, panels or MDF particle board.
Wood products account for approximately one-third of all UV / EB coatings volume. A continuously growing market, particularly for furniture manufacturing in Asia and pre-finished wood flooring in North America.

Considerable production efficiencies with UV / EB are being realized: curing within a second or fraction of a second, UV / EB coated wood products can be shipped or stacked immediately. Energy curable coatings increase production speeds, reduce costs for energy and floor space, enable just-in-time delivery, comply with environmental regulations, and lower flammability risk of coatings. They improve quality with smooth surfaces, offer superior durability, provide scuff and chemical resistance and can be used on heat-sensitive substrates such as door skins.
